This T-shirt references a period in the 60's wherein the black community underwent a cultural renaissance, combatting social norms and ingrained standards of beauty imposed within the black community. This movement stood to redefine self-acceptance, and self-worth within Black communities and helped spark a movement for change against oppressive laws, and a need for justice, and equality.
